4.30 Final Drive Gears

Expensive if custom made...and expensive to install...We need some full gearsets, some straight cut syncro mesh, and straight cut constant mesh...That would be the best option probably...and with other cars they don't seem to get too ridiculously priced (especially the simple design of the constant mesh)...

If any of these Turbo maniacs do get fored rods/pistons and start pushing 300+whp, stronger gears and case reinforcements will be needed...I doubt there will ever be a market for it, but they could be very beneficial...
 
as long as you gently put and let the trans syncronize, it will hold 350+hp on the wheels

twilight - there is one protege5 here using 5th gear in the 1/4 track: 12.0 @ 110mph aprox 378HP to the wheels

Im trying to catch him on the track, I saw him last saturday @ night and his car was smoking bad.

Well...its expected that reliability issues will come with that much power isnt it?
 
No problem man...I didn't think anyone on this board was near that yet...Any ideas on what he did? Any ideas on the engine management?

As far as reliability problems with that much power: with a stock internal FS yes...With a stock internal BP, SR20DET, or 4G63...no....
