3rd Gear Grind on 02 P5???

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. It seems if I let my RPMs hit 3K+ going into 3rd gear, it will grind. The higher the RPM the worse the grind. Any other gear I can tach-out and quickly shift to without any problem, just 3rd. The only way to shift into it without the grind is to keep the cluth depressed until RPMS fall below 3K... My car now has 25K miles on it. I'm calling the dealer tomorrow about the TSB for my "chattering clutch", do you think I should mention the tranny grind as well? And also... will dealer give me any crap about replacing the clutch and flywheel according to the TS Bulletin with so many miles??? And if so should I put my foot up their ass the first time... or come back to do it

Hmm, You should be able to get TSB done anyway. Adress the 3rd gear, it could be your fork, a few people had a similary issue before their tranny died on them...

Haha, it would be great to get the clutch replaced after 25K... God knows if tried to kill that poor thing over the last year.. haha.
