350hp Protege makes Showoff of the Week

hey...why the bashing of pat ? if i recall, he was a very helpful person in modding proteges before all of the vendors came with their products. he was spraying his car and learned some things people were just too chicken to do.

(drive2) Dont having someone eles do the work, take away all the fun of building, what some of ours is a dream??? I do all my own mods,,,theywere not to hard,,, and im planning on a motor swap ( me and rednecks are us) ...it fun to do it your self>>

yea ive never done one (engine swap) and im going to give it a whirl.

i wasnt raggin on pat, i dont know him cause im fairly new, i was just commenting to wicked.there must be a reason people rag on him

I respect the things he has done, and it's a shame he's not part of this forum,I don't think he earned his ban either, but I am not one so decide anything.

I work on my car by myself, all my friends that mod are too interested in drifting and rally to mess with a FF car.

lol,you made up for it.

the tune I got from nick to start my car had the secondary injectors fire full, and the stock injectors dumin fuel in as well,so rich that even when I tuned of the secondaries it still had to much fuel to start.(jacked)

I thought I recalled you saying how well it ran after he set it upf or you...?

he def wasn't a noob,he has the 2nd fastest protege so far closely following Juan of Highboost.

I wasn't saying he was a n00b, I was just implying that being a n00b in general sucks.

As for DIY, I love it. Gives me something to do, saves me money, and broadens my knowledge. I did the motor swap in my RX-7 with a buddy in his garage but I am going to attempt pulling it (and the rest of the car) out and apart on my own. I'm tired of old rust and paint, so when I can get my own house next year I wanna redo EVERYTHING.

if that were the case,I don't think he would have ditched the MPI tuner.

umm most of it... except for the rear motor mount. but i know i wont be installing an EMS by myself ...

it's a lot easier then you think.

the MPI,haltech, and the microtech are very easy,so unless your useing something else I recamend you give it a try.you'll learn a lot,and know you did it.
