Yeah, you should be fine....the tint takes a little longer to dry in colder climates. If it is metallic film, it will take a little longer to dry than a dyed film.

i had the same thing with my tint the day i picked it up. they told me to go back after a couple of days so that they could press it down again. actually all he did was use his finger to press down on it. it's been a week. it look pretty good overall. i have noticed SOME imperfections in various spots.

there is a spot on the back where i think something got in between the film and the window, or maybe it's a scratch on the tint. i can't really tell. my windows seem to close very slowly but i am not sure if it was always like that.

the tint job is warrantied for life. according to my friend who has his tint done at that shop all the time, he says i can bring it in if i'm not satisfied with the job or if something happens to the tint.

do you guys think i should go back and have them redo the rear window or do you all agree that no tint job is going to be perfect?

another thing, the rear windows is still a little hazy and it's been a week. it has sat in the sun for at least 4 days for at least 5 hours each day.

Depending how much contamination is under the tint, I would probably just leave it the way it is. There isn't really a way to prevent 100% of all dust/hair from getting under the film and making some type of imperfection. Some people may get lucky and get a perfect window, but most of the time you will have a little spec here and there. The back window may be hazy for a little while longer than the side windows because it had more heat shrinking involved. I'd give it another week, before you really start to worry about it.

It's funny you mention this. Lots of tint shops actually turn the defroster on to help adhere the window film and evaporate the excess water. Most shops around here will tell the customer it is good to use the defroster.

30% all sides... 5% rear windshield... doenst look bad... how come i notice almost everyone just do all around... and my car looks pretty dark in shade becoz of the 5% back
tinted it last thurs... still see white lines from rear windshield like everybody... hopefully it'll disappear in a week or two

it has been now 5 days and my rear windshield has not changed. The temperature has changed from about -10 to now 0 degrees and i still have those defroster lines showing. The defroster lines are thicker then most cars i've been in. I'm not sure why that is...but it just is. I guess it's not the tint place that did a fault in the tint, but the lines themselves.

35% for sure onthe fronts. But I think 5% is legal in CA. I got a speeding ticket about a year ago and the CHP didn't say s*** about the tint. Just wrote me up for the 21 mph violation. Maybe speed determinds how hard they look.

In cali you can get zero if you want on the back windows but the front driver and passenger cannot be tinted, only what the factory does and usually thats just a slight haze
I did 20% all the way around, so I just waiting for my first ticket

i just got mine tinted 35% all the way around, except for the windshield, of course. i like it, it's dark enough that it keeps the car cool, but light enough so it doesn't look like limo tint. 20% is just a little too dark for me. for a split second, i thought about having 20% in the back and 35% in the front, but i hate the look a car with differnent tint %'s on the windows.

What's the recommend % tint for California for ALL windows (not including the windshield)? w/o getting pull over and get a fix ticket it to take the driver/passenger side off?

I just got limo on the back and 70% (which is a bit darker than factory, looks nice) on the front...this should keep the cops off my back ...the place i got it done at said they had a lot of customers come back with fix it tickets for anything under 70% on the front..and had to get it all re-done...so i'm playin it safe i guess cause i dont want to have to worry about it, but it still looks good...just seems like you can't get away with the really dark stuff all the way around anymore, especially with the CHP...its :bs: but the cops wanna be able to see who they're pullin over which i can understand...
