Anyone else with sportauto getting 30mpg out there? I'm kinda confused here. It has consistantly pulled 24-25 mpg the whole time I've had it since Jan 04 no matter how it was driven and regardless of using AC or not. Since 09 it has become 2nd fiddle to the Tacoma so it has only been being driven in fair weather here and there just to keep it alive and be a break from the truck once in awhile. Well, here recently I started to drive it more because of the gas prices. First full tank driven yielded 360 miles with low tire pressure and dirty oil (no, not crazy bad dirty, just due for a changing) So, I air up the 205/40/17s to 40 lbs instead of 35-37 like I had been runnin since they were down to 30 from being ignored and put a fresh batch of oil and filter on it and filled it back up to see what it'd do. Damn if I didn't hit 370 and put less than 13 gallons back in to fill it back up. I'm over 370 now and just on the 1/4 tank mark. I'm sure it'll pull 400 before being near E. This is running on cc set at 67-70mph for 30 mile each way trip. Have also noticed no oil consumption. Pleasantly surprised and confused. Have done no mods recently either. I'll take it. It has won it's 1st string dd position back for time being...........Oh yeah, I live where there is ethanol up to 10% and not much of a difference in winter/summer blends. Never noticed any difference from winter to summer before.

Its most likely due to your driving habits have changed from driving the truck for so long... Im sure you tend to drive the truck a little easier so to speak then the car.

I just drove to Canada and back with my sport auto and I was getting a consistent 29-30 mpg there and back. This is going back and forth between driving 65 to driving 75. I've seen that some people do even better, but normally in the city my wife drives to work and back and gets about 23 or so.

ummmmmm, not so much, not with the occassional off roading and it being manual tranny. It rolls around at 75 or so with 32x11x18s on it with 3" lift it only squeezes 18 mpg or so with the 4cyl 5 speed. At 75 in 5th it's only turning 2600rpms while the car runs right at 3000rpms at 67. The car just hasn't done this good for me since new and I have tried to roll around at 60-65 before without these results. That is the mystery part but oh well, some mysterys don't need an answer, just some savoring. Good timing on it tho, lol.

Are you driving more highway then you used to.? if no then beats the hell out of me man.

I only drive in the city and I'm getting 26 mpg. Which surprises me because I dont take it easy when I drive either I like to have a fun with it

^^^You also live in warm weather year round. If you were to drive around up north here in the winter you'd be getting low 20s.

Currently have checked every fill-up for 34k (three years) and am getting 30.3 - but I drive like your grandmother...

thats ridiculous. i got 23 on my last fillup! given i had to reset the ecu so it was running rich for a while but still! warm weather needs to get here asap!

Nope, only thing that has changed is which frwy I drive but was 30 miles to work before we moved in 09 and is still 30 miles to work, just from a different direction. Wind direction not a factor. Beats me but I'll take it............Pulled 420 out of the last tank and put 13.5 in it to fill to brim...which is how I fills it every time.
