Good morning everyone. I didnt know exactly where to put this, but i have two questions. I have been recently throwing the elusive system 1 bank 1 too lean cel (P0171). Having checked everything and replaced damn near everything and posted about this numerous i only have two questions left.

1. Would being catless make me throw this code. I only replaced one 02 sensor and thats the one thats on the manifold. from the downpipe back is straight pipe. I just remembered i had exhuast work done about 3 months ago and the guy asked if i wanted straight pipe i said sure. I do have the non fouler but would being catless even with the non fouler still make me throw this code. (mind you it idles great and under boost its 10.0, car also vacuums great 20-23)

2. I also had my MAF, IM gasket, and EGR valve replaced. I was looking at my fuel injectors (thinking this might be the issue) and noticed that two are purple and the other two are green. is this normal i was under the assumption that the stockers are green.

3. IF i pull the battery cable reset the code and dont drive in boost the codes doesnt come back on but as soon as i beat on the car. let it rest and drive normal the codes is back. this is leading me to believe that something may be wrong with my fuel system. If this is the case why would the car still run rich under boost. So should i replace my injectors?

I am running out of options with my p5 i am ready to take the turbo off cuz i cant figure this out. The Mazda dealership wont work on the car cuz they said it would be too difficult to figure out. I mean my car is practiclly and MSP. How someone can help. oh yea my SSAFC is hooked up it has no maps loaded never got around too it cuz i lost my cable. (deadhorse

The SS when tuned will help, do some data logging with the wide band and then dyno tune. Is there a local shop that can help you ? If possible get in touch with Kooldino he is in New Jersey.
