3 Handling, worse than Protege?

I am considering a 3, but i am looking at the handling...Autoweek tested the 3 "The 3 charged through the slalom like a pro, hitting 46.0 mph "...the mazdaspeed protege lays down 70.2mph if i am correct, yeah its the MSP but still is the handling that much worse?

Those are almost definately 2 different length slalom courses.
