2nd Gen RX7 Wheels

Yeah, that's up there on my list for changes for the RX-7... The erratic rear toe makes slaloms somewhat irritating, or any shicane or multiple tight turns.

I've got a set of S4 turbo wheels laying around (I hate those ugly things) I swapped them out for the S5 turbos.

I'm suppose to be getting another set of S5 turbo wheels soon if anyone is interested.

By far the lightest of the OEM FC3S wheels, where those that came stock on the US version of the convertible ... the BBS
basket weave patern. The wheel is very light and makes a good street/autocross combo wheel ... the main drawback is that they are only 15" x 7!
The 16" wheels are stock turbo II and GTUs wheels only on the FC3S.

one of the best mods for the track would be getting the rear steer elim.

Description
BUSHING KIT,TOE-STEER ELIMINATOR
Notes
Delrin bushings replace stock bushings, eliminating rear suspension's toe-steer characteristics. Both sides.

I installed this in my '91. It was pretty nice. The back end would fishtail like mad. You just have to be extra careful in the rain.

isn't 16 x 7 technically 'stock' size for FCs as well, since it's the stock size for TII's and GTUs model?

I'm planning to get a set of 16" Rota Subzeros (14 lbs!!!) w/ Falken Azenis, should make for dramatic handling improvement :D

I would avoid the subzeros for autocross applications. While they definitely look nice, there have been failures with them breaking the hubs out of the wheels on course...

I absolute love the looks of the subzeros, but too many people having similar failures. From what I understand, they are also having problems with the attacks now, too...

Just be careful, whatever you decide to do.
