2Fast & 2Furious....

Well I got to go see the sneak preview last night of 2 Fast & 2 Furious and overall it was pretty good. In my opinion not near as good as the first movie. It made my 10 year old nauseous from all the camera movement. I would rate it a 6 out of 10. The cars were pretty cool but a few points the Evo looked silly. Alot of Good ole American Muscle in it too. Am I the only one who knows what a Yenko Camaro is?!?! I won't say much about it b/c I am sure nobody wants too much detail.

Yeah I know what a Yenko is. Being as the first was made her in PA at Yenko Chevrolet dealership. Extremely bad ass machines. I will probably see it but not opening weekend. Some time when I can go see a matinee and not pay full price .

my only worries about the movie are all the stupid people that are gonna be on the road afterward..i never went to see the first one in the theater but my brother did ad said after they got out there were 2 kids that actually drove up to him when he was getting into his car and challenged him to race...lol

Yeah, the movie is probably gonna cause another spike in ricer racing statistics...more people will probably die from stupid street racing.

They had a thing on t.v. the other day, I think it was super tuner tv, or car and driver. Anyways, they were able to take a closer look at all the cars in the movie, and were actually able to test drive them. I only saw the last end of it, they said that most of the cars were just pieced together to look good for the movie and only the pink car had any real power in it by way of supercharger. All show and no go, they even said that the paint jobs on them were bad because when you'd open the hood you could see what color the paint was before.

Oh well, i'd still like the camaro....LOL

As for Asian Influence? What the Hell are you talking about? Boycot a movie if it sucks or is a true bad influence on your life but I beg to differ? The girl who drives the Pink S2000 in the latest version is Asian/American and she has parts throughout the movie? Don't you remember in the first one the kid in the first organized race getting ready to run his White Civic playing video games? All the Asiam influence was in that whole scene? the girls wearing the skirts? the walk of fame down the cars parked? the guy from the bad gang? the S2000 driver in that movie was Asian American? so was his whole family who got there house trapped from the ATF? Geez. open your eyes. I believe the that was the staff from car and driver test driving all the cars from the movie and everyone of them like the S2000. Handling, 1/4 mile, Stiction. The rest were eye candy only and said they had like a dozen of each car made for the movie so they all were quickly produced and it showed in quality.

I hate to sound like some crazy activist, but I'm gonna have to boycott this movie. The import scene was originated by Asian/Asian-Americans, and there is no representation at all in etiher the 1st or 2nd Fags and the Furious. Plus the cars are such pieces of junk. It just makes the whole scene look like a freakin' clown show. :mad:

uh... Anywaay. Yes I also know what a Yenko Camaro is. And as much as I hate to admit it, I will probably go see this movie. I wish they would have made these movies differently though. They had so much potential. Then when I saw the first one, I realized that the director is what ruined the movie. A "real" director needs to come out with a better version of these movies: some that aren't so ricey.

I totally here ya. But that kinda sucks to call Asians rice. I guess let me clarify myself. Being Asian, my friends and I used to be made fun of when we started fixing up our Toyota's, Mazda's Honda's, Nissan's etc back in the late 80's and early 90's. But we stuck with it and finally got some respect when the late 90's came around. Then all of a sudden, it was "cool" to drive a fixed up import. It's totally great to see the scene grow to where it is, but it is also sad to see so many whack ass rides; and people not even know where it all started from. I hope you guys see my point. If not, its still all good.

Ya, there are Asians in the movie, but don't you think it would be appropriate to have one as one of the leads; and not to just have an Asian girl (although she is pretty fly) as eye candy and making it seem the only thing Asians are good for are the submisive women, which is really sad. The determination of one's car as being "whack" is totally subjective. You prove it with this statement:

So now instead of you being the one thought to have the "whack" ride, you are the one pointing the finger saying others have "whack" rides.

I would think one's experience as the target of humiliation would not subject others like himself to the same. But abuse is known to be a vicious cycle.
