ya definately breathing a lot better. ya the maf looks like a pretty decent restriction. its honeycombed.

I got another dynotune scheduled for july 9th.

Hoping and praying to break 300whp this time. I'm going to be running bigger injectors, probably 550cc or 565cc and more boost. I'm not even sure if i need to go bigger than 440cc to break 300whp but i figured why take the chance to max em out on the dyno short of my goal.

The shop now has an instrument to monitor my knock plus i have an egt gauge, so they should be able to tune it more aggressively this time around.

probably gonna be running between 15-20psi and lower my spark plug gap to .020-022 to keep them from blowing out.

difference from this dynotune from my last one will be the following

- bigger injectors
- new exhaust manifold
- VTCS removed
- MAF removed
- 2.25" bottleneck on the injen removed
- lighter wheels, not sure if that will translate to anything on the dyno?

does anyone think i may have trouble w/ the stock gear? i don't drag race nor do i powershift. the only thing i'm doing is running redline lightweight shockproof tranny fluid.

Yeah you can do 300whp with 440cc, but if you can, swap them with bigger ones.

trans gears will be ok.

measure knock with your ears, its loud in this engine, specially if continuous. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/knock/0/f0e5e10f-5f0c-4a91-bd1f-98e9016bcb15.htm

Every little thing makes a difference when it comes to turbo I have observed. And it takes just 1 little thing to make the car run horrible too.

that'll be nice if you can go down, it'll be fun. if you bring your laptop adapter, i can load the map onto yours in seconds after my tune. i think i can hold up to 4 or 5 so you can give it a try and see how it runs on your 550cc. if it works good then dynotuning yours should not take long.

how much doens it cost to have a buld engine im runnning my protege 5 turbo and i looking to get this mod but dont know how much

at what rpm does the turbo hit full boost? also, do you think the stage 1 exedy clutch will be able to handle 300whp/tq?

i hit 15psi by 3500rpm. i haven't hand any problems w/ my clutch slipping w/ 260+ wtq. the stage 1 exedy is rated for 350 so i think i'll be okay. i also don't do any drag racing so its much easier on the clutch.

if i do i'll make sure to post it.

the price of a built engine or building your engine varies depending on what you want done to it w/ what stuff.

like if you're just changing your rods and pistons, that'll run you about $1200 (+/- couple hundred depending on brand) plus install. if you get overbore pistons, add another 500-800 for labor for the machining.

If you get a preaseembled block, that'll usually run you around 3,000 for the entire shortblock (rods/pistons/crank/block), but theres still other things you need such as gaskets, headstuds, etc.

search around there a lot of good info on the forum.

but is it cheaper to building the engine then just buying a other build ingine because i have a engine witch is good my engine has about 140km on it im from canada. i just want to put my turbo about 14 psi without no issue

car feels great, especially the tq. 2nd gear is absolutely worthless now at WOT even from a roll. my tires jus spin.

i raced my buddy's modded 350z, the last time we raced we were basically neck and neck up to 150mph when i was making 199whp (3rd gear roll). since the tune, i raced him again and had him by about 3 car lengths by 120mph before we shut down (3rd gear roll).

haha ya we always end up at sheets too. we start off at the sheets off of paxton street in harrisburg, then go to the one on the pike, then work our way back to rt22 to the colonial common's movie theater in harrisburg, then sometimes hit up the sheets in linglestown and hershey if its a good nite. ya definately let me know the next time you're out.
I would love to have that power. Could you help me out. Let me know what parts I need and how to get it tuned. I dont really want to givve up on this car knowing that it does have some kind of potential.
