Looking at this setup. Saves ~7lbs/rim over stock and is wider as well.

offset is 48. Will these rub w/stock susp?

What about w/Cobb lowering springs or mazdaspeed lowering springs?

Anybody?

Thanks!

I'm assuming they are 7.5" wide. If so, they will stick out a lot. 7/10 of an inch. So, you will definitely rub if your car comes down and makes contact with the tire. Especially with lowering springs, people in the car, hard turns, etc.

However, if you go down to a 215 tire, then I think you will be fine.

235/45-17 on 17x8 ET48 rota boost does not rub using stock suspension. This was verified during 8 very hard sessions at Texas world speedway over 2 days...no rubbing.

My tires are the RE01R.

My setup 17x8.5 +42 with 235x40 stick out a bit but with full tank of gas, 2 wheels and 2 adults in the back I didn't have any body rubbing whatsoever. Of course the extra clearance I get since these are 235x40 on a 17" wheel, and the stock suspension helps a lot!

I am not planning in dropping the suspension at all.

This weekend's AX will prove whether I rub or not during very hard turns. :) :)
