On a P5. How bad will they rub? I'm not worried about the speedo being off. In fact I was thinking about the calibration between the MSP and the P5. Anybody know if it's in the ECU or if its a difference in the driven gear on the speed sensor?

i have the MP3 205/45/zr17's on my P5 with the racing beat springs and theres no rub. check out the tire/suspensions thread to see pics of my car with the drop springs and wheels.

i have stock MSP wheels on my P5 which are 17x7.5 and im running 215-45-17s.

i believe the offset on these are +55...

not sure if you would rub running +48s. i do know people who run 18s get +48 offset and use 215-35-18 tires...

Padanky has a similar set up, I pmed him a while back and he reported no rubbing. He has some drop, but I'm not sure how much.

Edit: That is, similar to what you're looking at Mike

Thanks for the info...still kinda wondering if they'll rub. Looks like they might not. I'll have to find a 215/45 and do a trial fit.

If I had the MSP wheels this would be easier. Damn subzeros! Shoulda bought a set of MSP wheels.

Mike, definitely post if you do a trial fit, I'm looking at the same combo, possibly, for some track tires, and I haven't found an answer yet. What kind of drop do you have? And also one other tidbit, I can't remember where this came from, but beware of rubbing on the inner fenderwell on the passenger side, I believe, if you try it.

Ok, will do. I have MP3 springs for the drop. And I also remember the comment about the fenderwell. I really hope the 45 will fit. Cracking a rim with the 215/40's kinda pissed me off.

hety mike,
i think it will fit....closer to +50 mm the better...cus the msp wheels are 17x7 +55mm and u figure ur pushin the wheel out -7mm and addin 1/2" it shoudl level; out nice....do 215 wide tires for now cus on a 7.5 wheel theylll be inside the rim lip and not make it wider...good luck
