205/50zr17 MSP

The MP3 runs 205/45R17s stock and would be closer to the stock size for speedo stuff...

But those should fit.

I'm going to say yes because those are 2/10ths of an inch bigger than what I'm currently running ... but I'm on far less offset than stock too (me=+40, you=+55) so I'd say you should be safe.

Just so you know those tires will be approximately 4/10ths of an inch bigger than your stock tires. With that small of a difference I think you'll be fine. Don't take my word as gospel though - let a few more chime in with their opinion first.

The 205/50r17 is closer to the MSP 215/45r17 size so it should even be a closer fit. It's only off by a 6 milimeters or barely a fifth of an inch.

Ok, using the tire calculator, a 215/45/17 is 4% to slow the stock Protege tire size of 195/50/16.

A 215/50 is 7.5% to slow.

Seeing as the speedo is calabrated for the sotck tire size, a 215 wide tire should be run in a 40 series. It is a better match and only .4% to slow.

I realize that all of this probably doesn't really matter. But this is getting rather redundant here.

Yes, they will fit. Should you run them, I wouldn't. There is a lot of error with those tires. If you can get them cheap, then get them and run them if you want. (smash)

MP3 ECU vs. MP5 ECU

I really don not know the difference between a MP3 ECU and a MP5 ECU. Is there an avantage to switching them? If so, how much $$$$ would I need to spend.
