with the 215 I will have protection for my lips. However, with the 205 I will have better milage correct?

true... there's not much protection but it'll look good with more drop.

AFKJ@$#?LKTHLksG!

why don't they have this sale with 215/45.. I would place my order right this second. 205 on a 7 inch wide wheel would just look weird, I love the way the 215 fits.

edit: I mean 215/40

AAHHh i want 45 not 40, I want to go back to 205 I didn't mind the 215 but I still think I had better turning response with the 205s.

Yeah i'd do 205/45 but not 205/40.. 215/40 makes me happy though, I think 205 would look too stretched on a 7 inch wide wheel.

i think 205 is the correct size for a 7in wheel. 215 is right for a 7.5 and 225 is correct for an 8

Probably, but then I'd need a 45 sidewall. I'm still very tempted to buy these tires because they are such a damn good deal and I need some.

Anyone have pictures of 205/40 on a protege?

I know my friend had the same wheels I have on his 2001 Integra and he had 205/40 and the tires looks sorta stretched. My MXs look like they go straight up and down, or maybe a tiny bit too wide.

Actually I just checked out the miata tire size calculator.. 215/40 is a hair taller than our stock size (195/50/16) 0.4% slow speedo. 205/40 is 0.9% too fast speedo.

215/40 has 0.2 inch more sidewall all around it looks like, plus of course the added width.

I'm going to buy these tires I think. I'll miss my Kumho Ecsta MX so much *cries*

ok I gave up and ordered them with the road hazard warranty. I also am having them drop shipped directly to Eksten Auto Works which is highly recommended by anyone who I have contacted locally. I'm going to have them mount, balance, and align.

Now I need to go down into the garage and select 4 wheels out of the 5 that I want the new tires put on.

lol there are 4 full sets of wheels chillin in the garage here, not including those on the car.

I think one of my wheels has a little curbing (on a spoke not the edge though) .

I can't wait.

nice! Let us know how you like it.! I just got a mazda 5 for my wife, and she's got on 17" also the same size. I am thinking about putting my 16" rotas on her mazda5, remove her 17" tires and putting them on the racing hart, then my p5. You guys think it's do-able?

I thought the 5 came with 205/50/17

If so, her tires will be too large for the P5. You'll need a 205/45/17, 205/40/17, or 215/40/17 (which may or may not rub depending on the wheel).
