2025 CX-50 Heater Takes Forever. Anyone else?

Anyone else have this problem?

Remote start the car to warm up but still takes another 10 minutes to start getting some heat and for the temp gauge to start moving. Temps here were around 30°F. Takes 20 minutes for any heat. The heat in this car takes forever. Once heat starts, the heat is fine and the temp gauge stabilizes too. Coolant level is fine. I now have a CX-5 loaner and it has heat by the end of my development and good heat in just another few minutes, maybe 7 minutes total. Same with my 4Runner, two newer Rav4's and my old XJ Cherokee.

No, mine heats up fairly quickly. Maybe you have a bubble in the cabin heat radiator. Take it to the dealer!

Thanks. Yes i took it to dealer . They're telling me my cx50 heats up fine . I just timed and video'd this CX5 loaner car . At 3 min 18 sec of idle i'm starting to feel heat . Drove around the block, by 4 min 20 seconds even better heat . By 6 minutes i am reading 120° at the vents . Unlike this cx5, my cx50 can warm up for 15 minutes and barely have any heat . Then takes another 5-7 min into my drive to work to get decent heat . It's crazy . I bought this car solely as a commuter car to go back and forth to the hospital . Don't wana wait 20 minutes for heat after a long shift in Dec-March

Then take this info and ask to speak to the service manager, failing that the dealership manager/owner. Failing that, Mazda corporate.

Yep, i've done that. That's why i'm asking here, to see if anyone else had this issue . Seems a lot of people on fb have the poor heat issue . fb however leaves a lot to be desired . Thanks!

it's precisely what i suggested to the dealer. Told them i had these exact same symptoms in a V8 F100 back in the 90's . Suggested maybe they just change the thermostat . They said there's nothing wrong, it's normal ... i showed them video of the cx5 about an hour prior...digital timer, digital thermometer ...4 minutes theres some heat , 5 minutes good heat, between 6 and 7 minutes hot , by 7 min youre getting roasted out ... i walked out and started up my cx50 , took the same video ...came back inside after 15 min after which the temp gauge had just started to budge ...took another 5 minutes for heat . takes 20 min+ for good heat . I did this test on both the cx5 and cx5 on days with temps within a few degrees of each other ... 14F and 17F and the day i returned the loaner cx5 ...video and tested both cars within an hour and 25 miles of each other , both from dead start cold . Talking to them is like reasoning with someone using circular logic !

@Martyd This one?

Yes, thank you Antoine

The issue is on the non-turbo 2.5 and supposedly before 2022.
If yours is non turbo, its still worth a shot to check it out

I wonder if it's cylinder deactivation causing my 25 CX50 (non turbo) to take forever to come up to temp? 15 minutes the temp gauge just barely starts to move. Never had a car like this. Not even a 24 cx5 loaner I just had...
