2023 CX-9 Electrical Fire?

:
Mazda CX5
Has anyone heard anything about the 2023 cx9s having issues with electrical fires? My wife's boss had a cx9 about a year ago that caught fire while parked and they said it was an electrical issue.. This morning her replacement cx9 caught fire in the parking lot while shut off. I tried searching anything about fires or possible recalls but I can't find a single thing about fires! I have the same year cx9 and now my wife is feeling pretty uneasy about it.

My wife's boss got dashcam footage off someone from the parking lot and the car is just sitting there with no one around and starts smoking and burning. Everything up above the windshield and on top pf the car burned..

Very suspicious and likely something that she had installed aftermarket the wrong way causing this. Either that or sabotage. The sheer odds of this happening twice to the same person with 2 different vehicles is impossible unless it is caused by outside influence. There isn't any instances of these vehicles catching fire. Like ever.

That's what I thought too! She didn't have anything aftermarket in her vehicle, So who knows.. Maybe there's something sketchy afoot..

Not impossible, but it is the first time I hear of CX-9s catching fire. I couldn’t find anything about it either on the NHTSA website (complaints, recall or manufacturer communications). I agree for now it seems like isolated events.

Very strange indeed. Grasping at straws here, but was she parked in the same spot both times?

It started smoking from the top of the car? Didn't start from under the hood? Did the fire department have anything to say about the potential causes?
