2018 Mazda CX 9 Pricing

Just got our 2018 CX-9 GT in SWPM this past weekend.
$38,075 with 63 months 0.0%apr (lost out on the additional $1,000 off) + TTL = $40,100OTD including 2 years maintenance.
In addition I did get $1,000 more for my trade-in than any other dealer offered me, which is a win in my book.

Just picked up black/black CX-9 Touring for $31,500! Can't wait to start with some mods (wheels, audio, etc)

I purchased a White CX9 Touring FWD with Premium Package today.

MSRP: $38025
Dealer discount: $4480.64
Manufacturer rebates: $1500
(Therefore the total discount is $5980.64)
Price before ttl: $32044.36

I got almost $6000 off of MSRP. Is it a good deal? It was a cash purchase, and if I were to go with 0% APR, then I would have to give up $1500.

It was 15.7% off. Good or no?
That's a crazy good price! I got the E-plan on a base Touring and it was like $31,500.

Your deal sounds like a gently used (5-10k mile) price imo.. Heck of a deal. Wish I could have found that

Proud to say that I bought my 2018 CX-9 Signature on the Fourth of July this year. More than excited... been lurking on this forum for the last six months and this is my first post.

$40,700 before taxes and fees, 0.0% APR for 63 months. Came with the local dealer's "pro-care" pack which consisted of tinting and some plastic protection around the door edges, inside the door handles, and possibly some other areas I haven't found yet.

Hello there. I am new to this forum (but not to Mazda) and I've been lurking around for a few weeks now as I am in the market for a 2018 CX-9 GT.
The best price I've gotten so far here in Georgia for a New 2018 GT FWD is $34,829 for a Jet Black on Black, with a dealer lifetime powertrain warranty. This price disqualifies me for Mazda's 0%/63 months financing. This price is after $2,000 Mazda rebate and $4,816 dealer discount.
From what I'm reading in this thread, this is a pretty good deal. Of course the closer to the 2019 arrival we get, the better the deals will get.

With the 2019s just around the corner, does anyone know how much the 2018s would depreciate by once the 2019s are in stock?

In the latest Motor Trend Long Term Test, a 2016, with an MSRP of $ 45,955 was worth 27.2K after a year. That is $ 1500+ per month depreciation.

(no) That is $1500 per month depreciation on that car.

What was the mileage on the car? How many months of ownership? Is $27.2k a private seller price, or a trade-in/book value? These points are really important to note.

2016 Highlander Platinum V6 AWD w/ 36k miles, no options, original MSRP 45k
2016 CX-9 Signature AWD w/ 36k miles, no options, original MSRP 43k

Using the same website for both vehicles, I got estimates for current private party selling prices (both estimates from the same state). The Highlander sells for approx. 34k, while the CX-9 sells for approx. 31k (both in "excellent condition"). If both values were taken exactly 24 months after purchase, and were purchased at the original MSRP:

Highlander depreciation = $11k total, or $458/month
CX-9 depreciation = $12k total, or $500/month

$500/month is a pretty far cry from the $1500/month you (and Motor Trend) are claiming.

Yeah. Appreciate the analysis but there's no way a car depreciates $1.5k per month

I went about my analysis a different way and concluded that a 2018 CX-9 Signature could depreciate by $1.5k once the 2019s are out.

I looked at KBB and Cargurus. For each, I compared the median market values of the 2018 Signatures vs. the 2017 models today.

KBB Fair Purchase Price:
- 2018 Signature: $42,435
- 2017 Signature: $39,923
- Difference: $2.5k

CarGurus Instant Market Value:
- 2018 Signature: $40,396
- 2017 Signature: $36,338
- Difference: $4.0k

These are the price differences after the 2018 has been out for a year. I don't expect the difference in value to be so drastic when the 2019s come out. But seeing as the 2018s would have been on the lot for an entire year by then, my guess is that customers should be able to negotiate a $1-1.5k decrease in price for the 2018 Signatures come September.

OK, I am going to sign tomorrow on a 2018 GT Black on Black. Price: $33,894. That over $7,600 off of MSRP! The OTD price after GA taxes, title and dealer fees comes to $37,254.25. That is without trade in. I think I did pretty well! (yippy)
I'll see you guys in the other sections very soon! :)

$33,900 for a new, 18 GT is very good! Seems like I got a great deal on my Touring and it was $31,500, so not much less. Good find! I probably would have done a GT for that price

Just bought a 2018 Signature with 17K miles in Machine Grey Metallic with all-weather mats, cargo nets, and mobile start for $36,500 in the Philadelphia area. We extended the bumper to bumper to 7 years for ~$1600. Love this vehicle...

My dealer has internet prices posted on their website.
New 2018 signature AWD: $36236 and $35933.
New 2018 GT AWD: $38893 and $38765.

Why do Signature trim get heavier discount?

Edit:

I guess I got the answer.

2019 models get
- Automatic power folding mirrors.
- 360 Camera.
- Ventilated front seats.

It is more likely a mix-up on the website info; regardless of "whats new for 19", it would not make sense to sell Sigs so much cheaper than the GTs.
