2016 CX-5 Type 'A' Audio Can Not Sync Iphone Contacts

I have successfully paired the iPhone to the CX-5 but can figure out how to transfer contacts to the the on-board phonebook. Any suggestions? I have an iPhone 5 running iOS8.3
