Honda just updated the 2015 CR-V with some serious equipment and swapped the powertrain for the one in the Accord (2.4L ED w/CVT, 185hp, 181tq) and more importantly, 27/34/29 in regards to MPG's.
Mazda better upgrade the powertrain a bit for 2016 or else Mazda will be #4 in FE instead of #1 when it debuted.
Looks like our European friends can get the 15' CR-V with a 9-speed auto and with a new diesel engine.

If it really is 15' then it is 1.5" longer than earlier models ;-)
Seriously though, I wonder if they fixed the numb driving experience.
I notice the article in the OP also says the 2016 CX-5 will have more comfortable suspension. Is that worth waiting for? Will more comfortable suspension take away from the handling?
I believe that "more comfortable suspension" was introduced with the current 2015 update.
The new CX5 will change the front and the light will introduce the leds. Inside the GPS will be the same as Mazda3 but with same situation as now, not as Mazda 3 situation. The last change is the orange light of the clock that will be in white. These ate the main changes explained in the dealers here in Europe. We will see....
