2014 Mazda 3 performance upgrades

Just drove a 2014 Mazda 3, 2.0 with manual trans. Loved it but would like a little more omph. I know it's amazing what Mazda has done with the Skyactiv engines and platform in terms of HP/Torque and MPG, but would like a little more performance. Does anyone know if there are aftermarket parts that actually increase engine output?

Getting much additional output from a very highly tuned NA engine running 13:1 compression with a specifically tuned exhaust is going to be very difficult.

Your choices are kind of limited - 2.5 with the auto, 2.0 with the manual.

That's what I was thinking is that it's going to be difficult. Was really impressed with the vehicle in the fit and finish and standard equipment. Pretty peppy, but just want a little more.

Mazda, please offer the 2.5 with a Manual!!

It's a Mazda. The "Performance Upgrade" is the right-side pedal.

If you have the patience, they'll eventually come out with a manual for the 2.5L. On the positive note, the auto in the 2.5 is ass kicking good Mazda really did a great job with the automatic on this one. That plus sports mode and paddle shifters, it's actually pretty fun and don't see the need for manual.

As for mods, Corksport has an intake system for the 2.0 and axle back exhaust for the 2.0/2.5 hatches.

Thanks. I noticed this but have always opted for CAI's on my cars. Hope it's possible.
