I noticed today my CX-5 vibrate a bit when I stopped still when engine was idle. What is the rpm when idle? My gauge reads between 600-700 rpm and I suspect it is too low.

FWIW, when fully warmed up, the 2.0L manual idles at a hair over 500 with no AC and ~650 with AC.
The tach on my 2.0L reads about 700 rpm when not warming up. The speed doesn't fluctuate in any way I can detect when engaging the A/C or switching from Neutral to Reverse. The ECU anticipates the load before the rpm's drop and adjusts the ignition timing/fuel/air delivery to match the anticipated load.
I wonder why yours fluctuates?
My RPM goes up, not down when the AC is turned on.
