On my car, the main transmission mount bolt was T-I-G-H-T. I had to use a 24" breaker bar to crack that bastard. Your may not be as harsh, good luck to you, good sir!

Also, while you're in there, you may want to think about moving the TCM to the firewall. Where it is now, it sits directly on top of a scorching hot transmission, and there are lots of stories of them cooking and failing. What I did with mine was, got some fuel line from the parts store, slit it down the middle. I then slipped the fuel line over the brake lines that are on the firewall (you'll see them), and then moved the TCM over there. The computer runs much cooler over there, which should prolong the life. Just something to think about.

You could also install an accessory transmission cooler so the ATF is not boiling hot like the engine coolant. I'm sure that helps the TCM run cooler too.

What do you mean it's not possible on your cars? I installed an aftermarket, auxiliary transmission fluid cooler on my 2012 Mazda5.

Guys, while we're at it, can you please help me find the torque specs for 3 bolts mounting the bracket to the engine, it's #13 on this diagram.
So far, what I've done:
2 - 65 lb-ft
3 - 50 lb-ft
5 - 85 lb-ft
6 - 50 lb-ft
10 - 75 lb-ft
11 - 75 lb-ft
13 - ??? (I put 50 lb-ft)

Hello again, I am back with the same issue but with my friend's 2007 mazda 5 - vibration, mounts are not good, etc. Where can one find this documentation with diagrams and torque specs? Gotta subscribe to some online knowledgebase to be sure?

And while we're at it, can you recommend a good floor jack? I need to learn how to jack the car properly, seems like some low profile jack is needed?

The post above have toque specs. Google "Mazda 5 FSM" to find download link to the Factory Service Manual.

LOW profile and LONG body hydraulic jack is ideal but not 100% necessary. You can drive onto a few pieces of wood planks/2x4 to get the front end higher, then insert your jack of choice to the central jack point. You can even access the front central jack points with a cheapo trolly jack - come in at an angle from the front wheel well, you have space in-between tire gap to pump the handle. Make sure to use some sturdy jack stands! You can then reposition the hydraulic jack to lift/hold the motor and use the spare scissor jack to align the through bolts/holes.

Thread 'Mazda5 central jacking points?'

Whenever doing actual work on vehicles I've owned, I've often depended on being able to place a floor jack centrally under the front or rear of the car and lift the entire front or rear at once so as to be able to place jackstands conveniently and not have the car's frame sitting at weird angles. I'm used to it being easy, too - on a Crown Vic there's a massive frame crosspiece up front and the pumpkin in the rear; on a Cavalier there's the radiator support up front and the L-beam welded between the suspension trailing arms in the rear.

On the Five, though, I'm a bit confused. There's...
