2013 Hatch Light issue.

So my wife had been complaining that the light in the hatch of her CX-5 was uselessly dim. I had installed the CS led kit when she first got the car and thought maybe something was wrong with the LED. So I swapped in a new one from my 3 and it was just as dim. I tried putting the original bulb back in and it wouldn't even light up. So I got out my multi-meter and it's showing 11.11v?

Any idea why it would be that low? Any suggestions on where the problem may be? Should I just take it into the dealer?

Pull the light unit out and retest on the connections on the back, could be a loose connector.
And check the battery volts that may be low.

Unfortunately, it's probable that you shorted a terminal when replacing the bulbs and toasted the RCBM (rear body control module). Apparently that circuit is not fused.
Hopefully that's not the case and it's something simpler.
