2013 CX-9 - USB Audio

Just picked up my 2013 CX-9 yesterday (Touring, with Tech package). So far, really enjoying it. One thing that's really bothering me with the audio, and I have to believe there is a fix for it - when I play MP3's via the USB input, it doesn't resume where it left off after I turn the vehicle off. It goes right back to the first track alphabetically on the USB drive. This makes no sense to me. Even my 7 year old Kenwood head unit with USB port resumes playback after turning off the car. Heck, even if you take the USB drive out of the port it remembers where you left off (I'm not even asking for that).

So I assume either something is wrong or there is a setting somewhere I'm not seeing?
