2013 CX-5 Start button will not light up

Hello,

I have a 2013 cx5, which will not start.

The start button, which of course normally lights up solid green when depressing the brake pedal to start, will not light up at all when i depress the brake pedal. The car does recognize the key fob as it lights up on the dash, plus i changed battery just in case.

Any idea why the start button will not light up at all?

Will the car start if you press the end of the fob on the start button?
