2013 CX-5 Spotify over Bluetooth not showing Song info (Solved)

:
2013 Mazda CX-5
This is a long shot but Googling hasn’t turned up anything.

My 2013 CX-5 has never had this issue with any of my or my family’s phones before. I just got a Google Pixel 6 android phone and I am able to connect via Bluetooth and play music, but the song info does display. Only a music note shows up,

Anyone else have this problem?

Solution
I found the solution and wanted share in case anyone happens upon this later. The issue seems to be that since my CX-5 is almost 10 years old, it does not recognize the AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Protocol) version that my new phone is configured with. The solution is to go into settings of the phone and change the AVRCP version to an earlier one.

Here’s the article with the steps…

Just checked with an older phone and the song data shows up fine. Some sort of incompatibilities with the newer Bluetooth protocol maybe?
