2012 M5 SPORT Dilemma.!

Hello everyone. I'm Rob over here in Hawaii. My wife and I decided to trade in my Infiniti G35 Coupe for a 2012 Mazda 5 Sport since she cannot drive a manual so we got the auto trans. We got the liquid silver and the vehicle isn't that bad looking. However, I much rather have the Grand Touring because of ( fog lights, side sills, roof deck spoiler, HID, and the 17in spokes ) I didn't care about the leather and the sunroof although those are a plus. I just loved the looks of the Grand Touring over the Sport. Since I am unemployed right now I was too ashamed to tell my wife that I wanted the Grand Touring and Mazda Dealership in Hawaii puts $5000 extra on top of the MSRP price per vehicle so if the Mazda 5 Sport is around $19,000 it would be around $24,000 plus shipping and tax out the door so we paid $28,000 for our 2012 Mazda 5 Sport. It sucks!!!!!

Now my dilemma is that I asked the Mazda parts department if I can order at least the roof deck spoiler for it. They told me that Mazda did not make it for our vehicle. They didn't make it?!!! It is installed in the Grand Touring and Touring model!!!! I was pissed. So having the Sport model I can't even put on a deck spoiler and those side sills are not even available. I looked around and there isn't a single accessory for this vehicle yet other than the dash cover, and the stainless muffler cover.

The roof deck spoiler might be a little more difficult to put in after because it could be integrated as part of the mold/stamp they use. Side sills aren't a problem but they don't do much but add weight.

The items you want are mostly cosmetic so it depends on how badly you really want them. If you're unemployed might as well save a few bucks and be happy you have a nice car that costs the same as how much we Canucks pay. We'd call $28K OTD a great deal!

Well I might as well forget and move on since there is no single accessory for this vehicle on the market right now except for the dashboard cover, tint, and tail pipe. I guess I'll check again and search the web after two decades I might get lucky and get tons of accessory I can dress our Mazda 5 on.

Two of us on the forum have this. Installation wasn't easy (the instructions and materials included are useless) but it looks good.

Yup I regret not getting at least the Touring model where it has this spoiler already installed. I'm a fool.

I'm also in Hawaii and looking to buy a Mazda5. Is it normal for the Hawaii dealers to put an additional mark-up on top of the MSRP price?

Learn from my mistake sir. Go to Waipahu Cutter Mazda and order your Mazda 5 there. Honolulu Mazda are thieves. They will add an additional $5000 on top of the MSRP of the vehicle. They only told us that right after we signed the papers and gave us our keys.

Yes sir I paid for a Grand Touring and I got a Sport model based on what we paid out the door.

Hmmmm. Something isn't right here. Either they really broke the law and you can sue there pants off or you didn't read the paperwork when you signed on the dotted line. Bummer.
