2012 CX-9 Service Question

Hi everyone, thanks for all the information I've read over the years on this CX-9 forum. Quick generic question for you all:

My 2012 CX-9 FWD is will be 3 years old in October and has 28,000 miles on it. Warm weather state, car has no problems at all, still runs like the day we bought it. The only services we've done on it are tire rotation and oil changes every 5k miles.

My local dealer has been bugging us lately for various scheduled maintenances. It's not that I don't trust them, I'm just curious about what the community thinks should be done for this car considering it's age and mileage. I've never owned an SUV or even a car of this size, so I'm really not sure what should be considered normal maintenance. Can anyone offer any advice on what I should be getting checked out and/or be concerned with? I don't want the hassle of planning to be without a car for a day or two if there's little reason to be worried about anything with the car considering it's age and mileage.

Thanks, I know it's kind of a vague question so I'm just hoping to get a general idea of what to expect (or not expect).

Definitely follow the maintenance schedule in your Owner's Manual, if anything. You can't go wrong that way. *end of my two cents*

I had great luck with 5K oil changes and wheel BALANCE and tire rotation about every 10K miles on my 2008. I did the 60K or so major service once but challenged the dealer for the need for half the stuff. The dealer didn't do a couple of things on the list and the price was reduced somewhat. I actually never changed the transmission fluid after 60K or had any other significant service done except new struts at 99K to beat the ext warranty ending. It seems some on the forum have had their share of problems. Hope you do a well as I did. The CX9 is a great SUV.
