2012 CX-9 High Mount LED Dim

Having an issue with 2012 CX-9 rear high mount LED illuminating very dim. Initially thought it was the LED, so I bought a new one, and it does the same thing. I measured the voltage at the connector and it is 5.1V instead of 13.5V. Checked all the fuses and they looked good. Any thoughts on what could be causing the low voltage?

I would guess the 13.5v is what you measure with the engine running. Did you measure the 5.1v with the engine running? Is there a difference in the voltage when the engine is running vs. not running?

Often a dim light is due to a loose or dirty negative wire, especially where it is grounded to the body.
