2012 CX-9 GT - Brake fuse?

2012 CX-9 GT
Got a (hopefully) quick question for the gurus. Just bought a brand new 2012 CX-9 GT. Within 2 hours of purchase the wrench light came on, TCS off light illuminated, and cruise control stopped working. The car had diminished power and inability to accelerate. Dealer says a blown brake fuse caused all of this, which then sent the car into "safe mode". Is this possible? I drove the car another ~30 miles to reach my home since it was Sunday and everything was closed. Could the car be damaged? Any other info you gurus could provide?

That doesn't sound right to me. Did you get the OBD2 code read from the computer? I would find the nearest auto parts store that will read it for free, (Autozone, etc.) and get the code. That will give you a better idea of what's going on. After that, get it back to the dealer ASAP for them to fix it. It brand new, you shouldn't have any issues with it that they can't fix.

I could see those brake circuit codes impacting TCS and cruise, but not engine power. I don't understand that.

Why not?
If a system detects brake issues, the natural response is to cut power output.
It depends on the program inside ECU.
