2012 5 fuel economy reports

1 US gallon is 3.78L so... 50L = 13.2 US gallons.
13.2 x $3.39 USD = $44.78

I paid $70 CDN for 50L (or 13.2 gallons) of 94 octane. As usual, we Canadians get gouged. Even though a huge amount of gas is produced here, more than is imported. In fact, there is a Chevron oil refinery in town. Oil companies rule the would so there we are.

87 octane is $1.21/L
94 octane is $1.38/L

A gallon of Guinness is required now due to too much math on a Saturday night. (cheers)

2nd fill up of 94 and 444KM later using 46.6L and again I have 10.5 per hundred KM or almost 27 miles per gallon. My driving seems very consistant so I filled up today with regular 87. Curiousity is satisfied :)

I'd be curious to see if you had someone fill the car for you without you knowing what octane fuel it had, I wouldn't be surprised if your fuel economy numbers stayed pretty much flat. (band)
