2011 sedan swap front bumper cover with MS3

I know the standard 3 hood can be swapped for the turbo hood, but there will be a bit of a gap. I also know swapping the hood has been discussed quite a bit. But what about just swapping the bumper cover?

I always liked the MS bumper more, it just looks a bit sleeker and smoother in the front grille. My aunt backed into my (parked) car, yesterday at grandma's house, and I now have an insurance claim open, probably the bumper cover and left headlight will need to be replaced. The headlight itself isn't cracked but one of the mounting tabs might be, it's pointing straight at the ground now. And the bumper no longer lines up with the fender (crazy) So I was wondering if it was feasible to swap the bumper. If the hood will interfere I will consider swapping the hood as well, since the problem with swapping the hood is that the bumper also needs to be swapped. The turbo model has the whole mercedes 'power dome' thing going on as well as the big scoop of course.

This is the 3rd time my car has been hit in the front left. None of the collisions have been my fault. I think this car might be cursed.(boom02) I feel like I am keeping the dealer's parts department in business single-handedly (lol2)

You need the bumper cover, hood and fenders and the body lines still won't look quite right when it's done.

Hmmm. I actually think that looks pretty good. Looks like the lines work, it's just a bit more aggressive in the front than the back. I wonder if there's a difference between mazdaspeed and mazda3 doors, or if it's just the fenders that are different. Since there are no gunmetal MS3s I'd have to have it all painted, though.

Now that I can do a side-by-side comparison I don't think it's worth it. It looks good but the stock mazda 3 looks really good too :) IMO the difference is like, a marathon runner and a body builder.

The bumper looks a lot sleeker, which I like, but the hood scoop and flared fenders might be too much for me. Guess I'll see how much money I'll get. If a bumper cover and headlight value from insurance are worth the whole front cap from a junkyard I might do it... of course I might be able to do a straight trade for the fenders and hood, they might even be worth more than the mazdaspeed parts...
