Well to those hoping that the Mustang would add more power to compete against the Camaro ss and Challenger srt will get thier wish. The engine will now be a actrual 5.0 liter engine. Packing 412 horsepower and 390 tq. The new GT mustang wil be only "10lb" more than the current 2010 according to Ford. Should make for some good muscle car wars.

camaro ss 3860 lb-426 hp
challenger srt8 4132 lb-425hp
Note: weight for camaro and challenger seem to be dead on from most sources ive seen. The mustang however seems to be anywhere from 3490-3560..so I just rounded high to 3600lb..chances are the 2011 will be lighter than that figure and bottom line I would safetly assume it will be ATLEAST as fast as the camaro ss if not a shade quicker. Just my 2 cents.
