Spring went bad. Drooping down. boards say impossible to fix. new ones are 200? ridiculous. any after market places?

*Bump* metoo. The driver side visor droops on my 2012 CX-9. Anyone seen any diy fixes? Any lead on a better price than $185?!?!?!

I'm in the same boat currently and am at the same crossroads. OEM is $150 ish and aftermarket from Amazon/EBay are $30-50. Just not sure what the differences are that justify 3 times the price except for it being a 'mazda' part. Anyone with any insight?

Thanks

Just get one from the junkyard.

A used one would potentially have the same issue, wouldn’t it?
Depends. Some parts dont changes. assuming the cx9 had 2 generations like the cx5...Maybe you can find one from a later model gen 1 or even a newer one from a gen 2.
Worth looking into to save $$ especially if only a few years left on the vehicle.
