Strick... probably just an oversight, but your location description says Tampa side of Courtney Campbell, but the Google maps link points to the Clearwater side. Might wanna make the 2 coincide to reduce confusion.
Since this destination is a little hard to get specific with, any consideration being given to possibly initially meeting at an easily definable commercial/retail location for a group drive to the Causeway?

Bill, that's actually not a bad idea. What about meeting at Tampa Int'l Mall then riding out to the Causeway? We can meet in the lot in front of the restaurants then all roll out together. That's only a couple minutes away.

intl mall is on columbus or spruce off of Dale Mabry.... if you tell me where your coming from i can tell you how to get there... i live in South Tampa I go to the I Mall all the time.... I would love a meet at I mall and cruise to the causeway and chill! thats a badass idea RhoadBlock i like it!!

but hey the courtney campbell tampa side with the grills and tables specify i used to go there alot to the dock parking lot is that what your talking about? let me know now what should we bring for food or is it all taken care of? we should all meet at the I mall at 10 or 1030 and ride out at 11am to the causeway and then have the bbq there....that would be tight!

That's really all I needed to know. I have an idea where Spruce is, and I take Dale Mabry to work every day. So shouldn't be hard to find.
im actually going down to the causeway this weekend to see if that lot is accomadating enough for as many cars as we have signed up. If not, then well move it down the causeway some(still on the tampa side), and ill just bring a grill to cook on. If this is the case, I would recommend bringing folding chairs. Im going to update the post on Monday reflecting any changes made.
Food will be taken care of. We will be cooking hamburgers,hotdogs & possibly chicken. With potato chips or some kind of sides. 5$ a plate. We are just hoping to cover cost, not profit on this. The main objective is just to get everyone in the area together and have a relaxed afternoon.

The Int'l Plaza idea is a good one. Although, if folks from out of town are coming & we want to make it as easy as possible, other car clubs I have met with have rallied at the Best Buy parking lot on Dale Mabry simply because it's a HUGE parking lot & about 30 feet from I-275.
I'd meet up in either spot, though. If anyone needs to GPS Int'l Plaza, try looking for "The Cheesecake Factory" in your POI's. There's only one CF location in Tampa, as far as I know.
For those without GPS, the mall's info is HERE, including maps & directions.
And Strick- just in case I haven't said it yet, I don't want to forget. THANK YOU for organizing this, my friend. I know it's nothing fancy, but it's going to be fun to meet other local Mazda enthusiasts.
I'll have to wear one of my "custom" MS3 t-shirts.

Yes, DEFINITELY a big thanks to Steve. BTW, Steve, I broke down and bought a bluetooth for my phone so at least I can talk now lol. Temporary remedy but it works great. So now you can hit me up whenever you need bro. Especially for anything meet/show related.
As for the meet up before the tiny cruise, Best Buy may actually work out better, because parking lot mall security guys get kinda power trippy when a big group of cars starts gathering. And it would probably be much easier for any ones coming not familiar with the area.

You are all very welcome!! I dont mind putting all this together, its the reward of having all the cars and people all together. Talking cars and checking out different parts that some may have. Since everyones stuff is slightly different. Taking some nice photos and generally having a good time. Just make sure to eat some food when you come out, so food money can be reembursed for another meet

And if this is a success, ive got plans to try and set up an all mazda car show/meet. With trophies/cash prizes, food and the works. This is kinda testing the market to see what the interest is. Ill be going around getting opinions and suggestions for a show at the meet. If you can spare a minute to give me input. Thanks everyone
Best buy sounds like a good meeting point for the meet. Ill probably be at the causeway trying to set some stuff up. So ill leave it up to rhoadblock to organize a caravan and meet time there. The meet starts at 12:00. So maybe 11:30 is a good time to meet at best buy, then youll arrive around 12:30 or so. If you wait at best buy for 15-20 minutes for people arriving late. LMK, so i can update the first post on all forums and give people enough notice of the roll in.

Alright so we'll be meeting at the Best Buy on Dale Mabry Highway at 11:30. We'll leave at 12:00 sharp. It should only take a few minutes to get to the spot on the Causeway. I'll have meal tickets at Best Buy so if you guys want to purchase a meal ticket from me before hand, they're $5. That way you don't have to worry about it when we get the the meeting spot or right before lunch is being served. To anyone bringing their children, if you buy yourself a plate, you don't have to buy your kids a meal ticket, they can eat free

and if for some reason the google maps links are still acting up. Take the spaces out of the word (causeway) in the meet map and the space out of (Dale) in the roll in map and click search. Im not sure why it keeps doing that ???
