2010 or 2011 GT?

Depends on how long you typical own a vehicle.
If you plan to own it for 2 or 3 year, go for 2011. If for much longer, go with 2010
assuming same low mileage.
Note also that there are minor differences between 2010 and 2011.
Make sure you make an informed decision.

Well, I am getting a price for a 10 GT with moonroof, remote starter, and roof rails. See what they offer..

Yea I bought mine back in Oct, they had 3 2010's and 3 2011's. They wouldn't take anything off the sticker on the 11's but took a couple grand off sticker on the '10 so we bought it! Only difference was the wheels have a slant to them and the NAV now offers Sirius Traffic!

Travis,
I think CX9 NAVI offers realtime traffic since 2010 model year.

Another difference is 2011 is rated at better MPG by 1mpg city/highway,
said to be through better fuel control programming.

1) yes, 2010 has realtime traffic

2) if the better mileage on the 2011 is improved fuel control programming, why can't they update the flash memory on the earlier model engine computers?

Since it is related to EPA certification, I doubt they will update older models.
This is not a simple formware update of your cell phones. EPA is involved here when it comes to
ECU programming... you know, the emission control, etc.

I also wish Mazda update my '08, but don't hold your breath as they said.

Really!? Does anyone know how it works? When I set up my Sirius account I asked them and they said that it would have 2 ESN #'s. Mine was only showing 1. So they said it didn't have it, but I have noticed that it works, so I was just curious! Does it cost extra I wonder??

Yea it works! Tha makes sense then! I just noticed that on the sticker prices in the windows of the '11's it actually said something about realtime traffic with the NAV, but on our '10, the sticker didn't say anything about it!

For my 2008, the firmware supposes realtime traffic, but the FM receiver was opted out by Mazda.

So it works then.
This realtime traffic is based on FM signal from your local authority.
Therefore, always free.

That is correct. There is an option to choose which FM station and I believe it can be set to automatically switch stations while traveling. I've recently come across the menu but don't recall now exactly how to access it. I'm sure it is covered in the manual.
