2010 mazda cx-9 smart key fob

The other day i went to change the battery in my smart key fob, while prying the case apart i broke the rear of the case. My remote is made by mitsubishi and I've had a hard time finding replacement parts/casing. I do not want to have to buy a whole new fob like the asshole dealership is telling me I have to do. It seems as if all the chinese made repacement casing are for the seimens made fob. just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem and what you've done? 2010 mazda cx-9 GT

You may have to buy a new fob--but have you checked eBay for them?

I have checked eBay for them, they're still right around $100 for a used one! Was really hoping I could buy the replacement casing.

Be patient. I sold a smart fob on ebay for a 2010 cx9 and it sold for 15 bucks awhile back.

It does have a power lift gate. It is the smart key fob that is made by Mitsubishi electric corp. I made the mistake already by purchasing the cheapest one I could find on eBay and found out just because it's advertised that it will work on my cx-9, that was not the case. The eBay fob was made by Siemens and had to send it back

Make an offer on the above one... it has a picture of a trunk not a hatch, but it's the same fob. Lowball that sucker.

And p.s. I have a third spare I keep in a lock box for my CX-9 and it has a trunk outline not a hatch, so it's for a Mazda 6, and it works just fine on my CX-9.
