This years Epic East Coast Mazda Meet will be in Gatlinburg June 17th through 20th and the planning is already under way. One large Cabin has been filled and another is being planned. Whitewater rafting, Dollywood, Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Car Show and cruise up Hwy 441 to Newfound Gap and Clingmans Dome, Ice skating, Bar hopping, Saturday night BBQ after the show and cruise.

I'll be staying at the River Terrace with the family.

I've never been down to Gatlinburg & I've always wanted to go whitewater rafting!! Gonna check & see if I can make it.

If you want to go to an EECMM event that is close you need to go in 2010. There have been alot of northeasterners complaining about them being in the south, so 2011 will almost certainly be in the northeast.

K, I'm gonna get on EECM forum & check it out. Like to look @ hotels & stuff. Gonna try to see if I can find a nice one for around $100/night or a little less. But nothing ghetto-ish.

I have made reservations at the River Terrace in Gatlinburg, $100 a night, a very good location within walking distance of most things in Gatlinburg. EECMM members have put together and filled one large cabin and another is in the works, if you want to stay were all the parting will be. The Carolina Mazda forum is renting condos and grouping together, so maybe the Ky group could do the same.

We plan on arriving early Thursday morning to get in on white water rafting trip planned for that day. I will hang out in Gatlinburg Thursday night with the family.

Friday morning is the big day for cruising as most will join a large group that will go accross 441 and head to the Tail of the Dragon and Cherahala Skyway. We will stop many times for group pictures and socializing. This will consume the whole day Friday so fill up with gas and bring drinks and snacks. I will stay in Gatlinburg Friday night with the family. Eating out, Ice skating and bar hopping.

Saturday morning is car washing and detailing with the Car Show around noon. The plan is for everyone to cruise up 441 to Newfound Gap and Clingmans Dome after the show. The BBQ will be at one of the large cabins that afternoon and the big party that night.

Sunday morning will be breakfast at IHOP etc, for those that are not hung over and can get out of bed.

Thanks man, that's not a bad price at all. This sounds like such an awesome weekend!! I really hope some of my local OAC peeps can come also!

yahoo...(yes) this meet sound pretty good as well...maybe i and a few nepocers could make this? i'd love to do the dragon in the msm!!

One of the main organizers is in Conn. and we had many people from PA, NY, NJ, MA and North VA there last year. It is a hell of a drive though.

Plan on spending all day Friday out cruising over the Smokies to the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway and back to Gatlinburg. There will be many stops along the way but bring snacks and a cooler. Will probably go by Fontana Dam on this trip as well.

EPIC4 - The Annual Epic East Coast Mazda Meet

It's the meet where we go into arctic waters to raft down and play pirates and watch people fall out of the boat.

It's the meet where you get up early to take a shower and find the worlds largest nut cracker prepped and ready in the shower to crack your nuts.

It's the meet where you shoot roman candles at each other but the only kid that ever gets hit is the one that looks like a terrorist.

It's the meet where you can wrap someones entire car in cellophane, light fire crackers off underneath it, set off the car alarm a hundred times, and nobody ever gets pissed off.

It's the meet where you go go-karting, para-sailing, burn rubber, do donuts, have crazy bbq's, beer pong, hot tubs, flip cup, play pool, chill in the jacuzzi, and eat tons of pancakes...

It's the meet where we all go "OH s***" when people blow their motors...

It is truly an EPIC meet...
