2009 Mazda5 GT - Amber lights not flashing anymore when locking/unlocking

Hello,

I recently acquired a (Canadian Model) 2009 Mazda 5 GT 5 speed and just today the battery in the key fob was starting to die (This was triggering the factory anti-left/horn to blare, after replacing the battery the horn/alarm is no longer going off) . I took the keyfob apart replaced the battery with a brand new battery. After putting the keyfob back together and I went outside to test it, I noticed the amber lights on the car no longer flash when locking or unlocking the car and they did before I replaced the battery in the key fob. The immobilzer/anti-left light on the dashboard is blinking like it did before I changed the keyfob battery, I have double and tripple checked to make sure none of the doors are open and made sure to close all the doors, hatch and hood nice and good. The car starts without any problems, the doors lock and unlock no problem using the key fob, the horn beeps when pressing the lock button on the key fob twice, the red panic button triggers the horn, but still no flashing amber lights when locking or unlocking the car. The battery in the engine bay is brand new and was tested. The only thing that has changed is the battery in the key fob. I have also replaced the Hazdard 10A (All hazards work, all turn signals work.) and Room 15A fuses based on some posts I found on here but it did not make a difference.

Apologies if this question has already been answered I have spent a few hours now searching and manually browsing through this forum but if it was already answered / solved I missed it or haven't found the post yet.

Just hoping somebody out there might have a suggestion or two I can try.

I just wanted to update this post. I ended up finding the manual for the Mazda 5 online and I followed the instructions on re-arming the anti-theft system.

Now the amber lights are flashing when locking / unlocking the car, and when pressing the panic button the amber lights now are flashing.

I did also change the 20A D.lock Fuse just encase, but the fuse looked fine.

The instructions for re-arming the anti-left I found online are the following:
1. Remove the key from the Ignition switch.
2. Make sure the hood is closed. Close and lock all doors and the liftgate from the outside using the key or press the lock button on your keyless entry system transmitter.

I'm not sure how just starting the car normally didn't do this, but I started the car, opened the hood and the lift gate, closed them both and then followed the instructions above. And now the amber lights are working as intended when locking/unlocking/panic button is pressed. (Maybe I have a bad hood latch or lift gate mechanism?)
