I will disown subaru if they make the STi and WRX a hatch!! Why would anyone want a fast hatch?? Actually, why do people insist on putting there family into a fast car?? Do you love your family?? The car is not made for a family car, you want a family car with balls go buy a Magnum. I think Subaru is just looking at sales with this and not sticking to heritage and because of this the Evo will own and Sti competition will be MS3! Im a HUGE fan of STi's but if they do this than EVO PWN'S!! It kinda like making a hatch Corvette and adding two more seats just because stupid people want to drive fast cars with there family in it!! Geez, whats happening to the world!!

Anyways.... (sad2) (flame)

haha, you know there is an evo hatch, well, wagon, but non the less, its by far the worst looking of any of the cars mentioned above

um, yeah! everyone knows that sedans are teh fastAr3r than hatches...besides, sedans aren't family cars at all. i've never seen any familires riding around in sedans, b/c sedans are waaay too fast for families. (poke)(first)

and why would a company ever try to maximize sales, when they could stick with "heritage" and make less money?

I really hate what the new pedestrian safety laws are doing to car design.

My wife and I never ride in her Protege sedan together for fear that it's ludicrous speed could get us both seriously hurt.

Thats why we drive my much slower P5 so we can be safe.

You're right, sedans aren't family cars. Ginormous suburbans and expeditions are the family vehicle of choice of mom's and dads with 1 to 2 children everywhere (in the US).

dude dude dude dude.. got this weeks Autoweek mag and it has 2008 WRX renderings and they look AWESOME I'll see if I can find them online.

Tell you what, I don't mind the looks of it one bit. It's lost some edginess that the current one has but it's gained some class. If it's fast as well then I'd take one in blue or black.

hmm that's interesting. not a big fan of the front grille, but at least the headlights, fenders, grille, hood etc all tie togethre as one cohesive unit FINALLY

Thats what I'm saying. Now if they could just inject a bit of attitude into it. Some swagger or something. It would be perfect. I reserve judgement until I see the final version.

With that stance,it looks like that Mercedes R-class mini-van.

The front looks like a blend of the previous Toyota Camry and Dodge/Chysler minivan.

As Simon Cowell would say: "What the bloody hell is that?? That is utterly the worst 'subaru' I have ever seen! But everyone has there own opinion and is entitled to it. Is America going the euro-hatch direction?? I just may have to convert to Muscle someday...

Ugly. The current one isn't a great looking car by any standards, but at least it has some real edginess and personality. What I see there, on the other hand, as other people have mentioned, is the Toyota Camry Wagon.

I still like the 2005 version. I thought that one didn't look too bad at all.
