2008 Mazda 3 2.0 Liter Engine, Auto/Man Transmission
Hi everyone

I am new to this forum hoping to find out some information regarding my MAP Sensor. I have a 2008 Mazda 3 w/ 2.0 Liter Engine.

1. Does my Engine have a MAP Sensor?
IF YES...

2. Where is it Located?
3. Can anyone tell me which of the wires from the sensor goes to the ECU?

Seems a lot of Engine Models & Manufactures have a MAP Sensor in which (3) wires are connected to the sensor... Positive, Signal, Ground.
The signal wire being the one in the middle which goes to the ECU.
But this is not true on every engine or vehicle manufacturer.

Any one who could clarify this for me I would much appreciate it.

This information is necessary for me Because I am going to install an HHO Device & If My Engine has a MAP Sensor I will need to install a MAP Sensor Enhancer to get the Maximum benefits of the HHO System. I have already researched O2 Sensors and have that already solved. I don't want to add the HHO system until I have all my Possible problems addressed.

Cheers'

Hello Tom, welcome to the forum. Yes your car has a MAP sensor. However let me say the HHO is snake oil technology, absolutely useless. The is no way it does anything. If you analyze what it is doing, it takes electricity which comes from your alternator to split the water into hydrogen and oxygen, which takes energy. It them puts it into your engine where it is burned to try to get that energy back. Any possible energy from this burning is used to generate the electricity to run the device. Cannot work.

Map Sensor

Thank you for the information confirming my Mazda 3 has a MAP Sensor.
I am hoping to get information still concerning the MAP Sensors Location and which wire is the Signal Wire to the ECU.

Regarding the HHO system I have several friends who use this technology currently in the US. Which have all shown Excellent gains, however none of my Friends are familiar with Mazda to give technical Advice.

I rather keep debate of the use of HHO Systems out of the Thread and just ask for assistance from experienced Folks regarding the MAP Sensor Issue.
Thanks.

Ok, shoot yourself.

Map sensor has three wires.
Green/black stripe - reference voltage
Brown/green stripe - sensor ground
White/green stripe - signal

The sensor is located on the intake manifold (front of engine) low down on the passenger side.
