2008 CX-9 Shift Lock Override?

Anyone know how to do the shift override on a 2008 CX9?

We are getting keys made by a lock smith right now so don't have any available. The Mazda is blocking another car from getting out of the garage, so I need to put it in neutral to move it. I have seen pictures of other mazdas with a small hole you can use to override the shift lock, but that is not apparent on the 2008 CX9 (and the manual doesn't show anything either). Any ideas?

Did you every find an answer to this? My 2008 CX9 started fine this morning but I can't get it out of gear no matter what and it appears there is no manual shift override.... Glad it didn't happen in a remote location in the middle of the night.... I had two AAA guys try to get it out of park but finally towed it to my mechanic who is suspecting it's an electrical component... but still, how can there be no way to manually get it out of park ???

I've researched this over the past few months, and have not found a way without opening the console. Seems silly, but I think it is reality.

Thanks for replying Bronco Boy. My mechanic is saying he has to put in a new shift assembly.... Does that make any sense?

Anything is possible, but never heard of one needing to be replaced. My question would be why. Why not just the cable?
