Apologies if this was posted already. I only posted it since these were just released a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't find similar threads in my search. My wife and I are considering a 2011 CX-9 Touring/Grand Touring and this is something I found, while hopping around online for info.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the Mazda CX-9 for possible brake degradation due to leaking brake fluid.
According to the Automotive News, the NHTSA opened the investigation on all 2008 Mazda CX-9 models. The report estimates that 37,000 units could be affected, and no injuries or crashes have been reported. The investigation stems from repeated warranty claims for decreased brake operation due to the leaking fluid.
"When brake fluid leaks into the vacuum booster the driver can experience reduced brake effectiveness which can result in extended stopping distance," the filing said.
A recall will follow if investigators find a significant safety issue that needs to be addressed.
