I was at the dealership today, is it worth the extra 1500 to get the touring edition, or should I just go with the sport edition?

I say yes. The side curtain airbags, DSC and 17" wheels are worth more than $1500. The side impact results of the 3 without the side airbags is horrible. It is OK with them.

Raymo forgot Side sill extensions, but he was exactly right.

I also agree with him 100%... it isnt a huge difference, and I say it would be money well spent.

go with the touring.

To add my agreement: I ordered the Touring for the side airbags only. The other little perks are just gravy. I haven't looked into insurance yet, but it is possible a reduced premium because of the SAB's might help offset the cost over the life of the car. If you are unlucky enough to get t-boned, you will be happy you had them.

First off, the Touring is only $1,235 more, not $1,500. Or are we talking Canadian?

Second, the side airbags are available as a separate $245 option. On the sedan you don't need the Touring to get them.

Third, my price comparison site assigns a $1950 total value to the features in the Touring, so the $1,235 looks like a very good deal, as others have said.

To see a value analysis of option packages on my site, price a single model (i.e. don't do a comparison) then select the features you're interested in. The program automatically selects the packages then at the bottom of the results page tabulates the values of the features you asked for and those you didn't ask for.

Is the DSC and Traction Control worth it? I think I like the touring wheels a little better from what I have seen, but im not sure if its worth the extra 1300 for it.

I might get the S Sport but purchase the Side Air Bags and Side Stills thats only 800..

But then again, why not pay the extra few hundred?
