Altima coupe?...wtf?

I actually saw a 2007 Altima today while driving. I think it looks really good. I like the styling of the rear lights.

Good to hear that.. I was afraid that the "world's largest monstrosity taillights award" would go to the new altima.

I spotted an 07 G35 sedan cruising on 384 in Manchester, CT the other day. It looked quite sweet.

^^^honestly don't like the back end of the G 35 sedan...don't mind the tails but it just looks off or something compared to the rest of the car.

As for the spec - v fugly x3...

2007 Sentra SE-R
The 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R, which marks the return of Nissans legendary sport compact sedan, offers more power, performance and technology than any SE-R that has come before. It is available in two models Sentra SE-R and Sentra SE-R Spec V, each utilizing an advanced 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine designed specifically for the SE-R.

Special emphasis was placed on the SE-R Spec Vs new high output version of the QR25DE 4-cylinder engine, with extensive modifications to the top end of the engine that help the SE-R Spec V achieve 200 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. Among the unique Spec V engine features are use of a unique resin intake manifold and dual branch exhaust manifold; revised piston crown shape to support a higher compression ratio (10.5:1); iridium tipped spark plugs for improved combustion characteristics; and a revised cam shaft profile, reinforced connecting rods and 8-counterweight crankshaft to achieve a higher redline limit of 6,800 rpm. The SE-R Spec V is available only with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission.

In the area of chassis, handling and braking performance, the SE-R Spec V is equipped with higher rate springs, shocks and bushings; 225/45WR17 uni-directional high performance tires; high capacity front disc brakes with 12.6-inch rotors; and a revised cowl top structure and a unique trunk mounted V brace, both utilized for increased body rigidity.

The SE-R model offers fun-to-drive performance and aggressive, sporty appearance to those who want the convenience of an automatic transmission. The QR25DE engine is tuned to deliver 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque (on regular unleaded fuel).

The Sentra SE-R is equipped exclusively with Nissans Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Inside the Sentra SE-R cabin are a number of unique SE-R features, including an exclusive black interior color, sport bucket front seats with SE-R stitching, unique seat fabrics, red seat belts (Spec V only), aluminum foot pedal pads, leather-appointed steering wheel and shift knob, and an additional two-gauge meter pack.

Like all 2007 Sentra models, the new SE-R also offers an array of comfort and convenience features including standard power windows and door locks, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD 6-speaker audio, and an integrated overhead compact disc holder. Optional features include a 340-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system, factory installed satellite radio and Nissans Intelligent Key keyless entry system (SE-R only).

Standard safety features for the Sentra SE-R include an Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual stage front air bags and occupant classification system for the front passenger seat, front seat side air bags, side curtain air bags (for front and rear outboard occupant head protection), front seat Active Head Restraints and Zone Body construction.

Needs to be lowered, 18" rims, and skirting kit added.

If they did that it would move out of the realm of fugly and into the realm of tolerable

All torque, still bad nissan resale value and lack of boost. Lame again by Nissan...booo. Thats why i sold my SER ;)

Hey at least the last gen SER's looked a little mean before their wimpy redesign. This thing just looks silly.

nope, no matter how much you polish it or what color you make it, it's still a turd.

Still a turd with 200hp and 180lb-ft of torque.

k I'll be the one to say it.. from some angles it looks really good, though it definitely needs to be lowered. Nissan violates the ride-height rule of wheel gap never being more than sidewall height way too much!

this angle.. yummy. I like the detail on the corners of the front bumper.

The headlights could be better, but I don't mind the shape. Projectors would be sweet. Not a fan of the taillights but I bet some red overlays could fix them up a bit.

I reserve final judgement until I see one in person.

Does this thing have an independent rear suspension now? God I couldn't stand that about the previous gen.. the like 1992 SE-R had IRS, why the heck did they go back to a solid beam suspension?? It clearly wasn't for interior room, a friend of mine picked up a 2006 SE-R Spec-V (it was cheap, he wanted a new car) and wow it has awful rear seat room compared to a Protege.

I'll definitely need to test drive one of these.

Its still a a solid beam axle in the rear. Nissan does that because its cheap. And yes the rear seat is tighter then a Protege.

It's a ton tighter.. I was shocked. I only accept solid beam axles in cars like the Kia Rio Cinco where it not only was used because it was cheap but also makes for a much more useable trunk.. with the seats folded down it seems like the Rio Cinco has a lot more room than my P5.

Of course there's always gotta be something to ruin it for me. With the Mazda3 hatchback, it's the awful styling. With the new SE-R, they cheap out on the rear suspension. My P5 better stay reliable forever!
