Hey all,

I just bought a 2007 Mazda3 in March, and the brakes are squealing already! What the hell? Do you think that it is enough to take it to the dealer to check it out? Or is the squeaking nothing to worry about? It's very annoying to hear almost every time i start to brake. Thanks

in a 2 month old car bring it to the dealer. i get/got squealing with slow speed braking (i.e. in the parking lot when everyone can see) but it's because of the pads i had. not all squealing is bad but either way take it to the dealer, they'll be able to tell you if you have pad left and if not they should hopefully fix it for you

wear parts are always a crapshoot but hopefully your dealer is nice and won't give you any trouble

what are the chances im going to have to cough up money? do you think its under the 36,000 miles warranty?

If you have less than 12,000 you should have no problem getting it resolved. Just take it in before a little problem turns into a big one.

yeah, it only have 3930 miles on it, so HOPEFULLY it wont be a problem. im going in on thursday.

they SHOULD cover it, so odds are they will, but there's always the asshole dealer that claims abuse or something so just hope yours isn't like that. be nice, pretend to be a little naive (don't try to do their job for them right off the bat) and they should take care of you

I have the same noise and so does my buddy with the MS3 at low speeds in parking lots but not constant or all the time.
