Gotta know your history, Junior.

Tell me that they've added a standard, and this isn't just another appearence package.

Edit: found some info
Bee All It Can Be The 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is the first special edition of the "Charger on steroids" from Chrysler Group's Street and Racing Technology (SRT). It features "Detonator Yellow" exterior color with black hood and deck-lid face, Super Bee logos on front and rear fenders, and contrasting yellow stitching on the seats, steering wheel and shift knob.

Powered by the SRT-engineered 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 producing 425 hp (317 kW) and 420 lb.-ft. (569 Nm) of torque, the Dodge Charger SRT8's powertrain represents a new level in HEMI performance, with 85 additional horsepower 25 percent more than the 5.7-liter HEMI.

Other SRT enhancements include functional, performance-oriented styling, world-class ride and handling, race-inspired interior appointments and benchmark braking. All together, the 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is capable of 0-60 mph in the low 5 seconds, 0-100-0 in under 17 seconds and 60-0 mph braking in approximately 110 feet.

The legendary Super Bee nameplate made its debut in 1968 within the Dodge Coronet line. As the newest member of Dodge's "Scat Pack" performance group, the '68 Super Bee originally carried an MSRP of just over $3,000. It was offered as a Dodge Charger only in its last model year, 1971. Restored examples fetch between $80,000 $100,000 today.

The 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is the latest edition of the ultimate American muscle sedan, and will be available in dealerships this fall. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Also note that the "Super Bee" bit is just an appearence package for Boomers. You can get an SRT8 without it if you deisre.

I second the yuck

If this was called anything other then a charger I might like it more. But knowing what the charger was years ago....this is just soooooom wrong.

that being said, I don't hate it's looks....it just should not be called a charger.

The new challenger has the right idea.

I just got to drive my uncles Charger SRT-8. What an awesome car. He paid around $40K for. To bad it was not available with an 6speed tranny.

I still see a problem...it has 4 doors.

My uncle says if him knew that the Challenger was coming he would of waited to buy the SRT-8 of it. He thinks the Challenger looks better then the Charger. Also its a 2 door. I bet he will keep the Charger and buy the Challenger.

my sentiments exactly. same with the current gto. great car...just not a gto.

my thoughts are if you're going to name it something that harkens back to an earlier time, make sure the design keeps with what the car was originally made famous for. it doesn't necessarily have to be retro...but they probably figure they'll piss less people off by almost copying the design of the original (thinking the new challenger concept). I'd like to see something more along the lines of the camaro concept...the original elements are there, but it looks more like it's evolved over the years. just my $0.02

on an off topic...anarchistchiken, has the "My avatar is a joke" in your sig gotten bigger lately or is just me?? how much longer do you have to use that thing....it's starting to weird me out....
