2006 MS6 warranty claim denied. Next step?

What dealer are you going to? Your making me nervouse! I just bought a $2,300 4-yr 100k extended warrenty for my 06 speed 6, i certainly plan on at least a SRI, TIP, CBE and maybe a better BPV.. I'm going to Herzog-Meire Mazda in Beaverton, OR.

Well you should always play it safe when it comes to mods and dealers. SRI / TIP / BPV is about 1-2 hours TOPS to remove and revert to stock. Ive taken my intake out so many times i can take out the whole intake with TIP in about 20 minutes. Half of the job is just jacking the car up and taking off the drivers wheel.

Is this heat shield something the last dealer would have touched when doing the TSB for the clutch?
Yes, and they don't wear out so I am unsure how it could ever "not work" in a way that would damage the PTO or tranny unless it was not reinstalled at all.

Another update.....

I have a voice message saying they can not install the dif because some heat sheild that protects it from the turbo heat is fried. They said I would have to buy a new on? WHAT? Isn't that on them it failed in the first place and has caused the dif to leak. So I will have to call them tomorrow and fight with them some more......

Yeah, that heat shield is pressed fiber with a metalized cover and is molded into the correct shape to wrap around the diff. What likely happened is they F'd it up trying to get the diff out and Mazda doesn't include it in the allowed diff replacement warranty work because it should NEVER go bad. Mazda USA really isn't the problem. It is the stupid, inept, moronic technicians (I use the term very loosely) that work at the dealerships, F'k things up and want Mazda to pay for their stupidity.

The diff leaking is a common issue with the Speed6, NOT the heat shield.
On this problem, tell you dealership to eat it and fix the car correctly....
