2006 Mazda 3 Factory Stereo

After the power surge that took out a number of electronic components (that have now been replaced by the garage), the last item is the stereo.

I see factory stereos on ebay. Can I just swap out the existing one which a replacement? I'm hoping it's as easy as pulling the power and speaker wires from the back and plugging them into the new stereo.

Just make sure you get a compatible one, ie same year and either Bose or not. Should just be plug and play. Either in 06 or 07 there's a gap where the stereos changed slightly.

I have a non-bose, single cd, no trip, stereo from a 2008 mazda 3 if you still need one. Its just taking up shelf space in the apartment.
