2005 Taxes - what are you getting / paying?

you mean this is what you paid at the beginning of 2005 (for 2004 taxes), or this is the amount on your W-2 for this year's filing?

Man I paid over twice that to federal this year. Asswipes takin my $$$ !

who knows. I don't make a ton, but its good for Toledo, OH at least. I have 0 exemptions, so they take the max. I think it was $9,300 they took out... federal alone.

Also, didn't you say you already filed? If so it should say the total taxes you owed right on your return.

No I did not PAY 4 grand I am getting back 4 grand. I paid in over 20k.
I to pay for those public schools yet I don't get anything for my money because I don't use them.

And at the time I replied I had not filed. I just filed and I am only getting 4200.00 back.

I am getting back a total of $24 bucks.

This year I owe like 700, last year I owed 3600. So I'm kinda happy.

Yeah, I "make too much money". I can assure you - it's never enough.

Guess I win. Getting $1387 back from the federal goverment and $6946 from the state. Sold an investment condo and the state took out over $9000 in estimated real estate taxes on the $46,000 profit, but since I'm able to reduce our taxable income by over $60,000 every year they had to give a lot of it back.(cheers)
